Moskva:
🇺🇦 Only 54 of the 500-person crew were saved from the Moskva. Reports are conflicting
🇺🇦 Russia is still blaming the sinking of the Moskva on a fire that erupted on the ship.
🇺🇦 Russian ships operating near the "Moskva" have retreated south from the Ukrainian coast….because apparently being close to the Ukrainian cost causes spontaneous fires to erupt on your ships.
🇺🇦 Moskva is Russia’s most expensive loss in the war with Ukraine
🇺🇦 Putin promised >7 million rubles to each of the families of Russian's killed in action in Ukraine. This is one reason why they are claiming the sinking of the Moskva was an accident.
(Pictured: Ukraine distracted Moskva’s anti-missile capabilities with a Bayraktar drone)
Other:
🇺🇦 Germany just seized the largest super yacht in the world after linking it to a Russian oligarch. “Dilbar" has been linked to sanctioned Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov
🇺🇦 Mariupol is STILL in Ukraine’s hands, which is completely baffling military planners at this point. Either they’re the greatest soldiers in the past 70 years, or Russia is fielding the worst soldiers in the past 70 years.
🇺🇦 Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said that if Ukraine continues its provocations by attacking Russian cities, Russia will be forced to declare war against Ukraine
🇺🇦 Trump came out agreeing with Biden that this is genocide
🇺🇦 An ex-oligarch says Putin has arrested 20 generals since the start of the war. This is low fidelity information
🇺🇦 As the latest in sanctions, Russian media access to basic fonts are being blocked from Russian use lol (Times New Roman, Arial, etc)
🇺🇦 Japan is finally sending weapons to Ukraine via Europe
🇺🇦 Ukraine is planning an offensive in the Kherson region.
🇺🇦 Kyiv has come under airstrikes for the first time since Russia withdrew. This is an apparent response to the sinking of the Moskva. Opinion: While Russia claims they hit critical war fighting infrastructure, I think it was a random attack, and the Russian government just wanted any sort of response to be able to claim it for their state media
⚠️If anyone cares, I post updates in the afternoon, then immediately start writing the next update. That means some of the data is 24 hours old, some of it is minutes old.
⚠️ If you ever hear anyone say “What about America…” in an effort to redirect attention away from Ukraine and onto America, that is called “Competitive victimhood” and the associated meme is *always* created by Russian-backed media. Russia has three primary propaganda efforts directed at the West, and that’s the third.
⚠️ Note: I’m getting lazy with my citations and I apologize. It’s all the same sources as it’s always been…NATO planners, official statements, major news, other open source researchers, people who send me leads, reputable pundits like Aaron Parnas, Kyiv Independent, Institute for the Study of War, etc. Thank you especially to CP Scott, former Army and former NATO planner.

⚠️ Note: War happens fast and even high fidelity news needs a ton of corrections after the dust settles. Also, I’ve been spoiled by social media’s format where I can update the final product every time I find a typo. While that’s still the case, that poses a problem when…
