Russia put an entirely new army into the east...it’s general died almost right away
🇺🇦 Pictured: American M777 Howitzers arrive.
🇺🇦 Hey America, a bit of advice, keep your eye on that tractor on the ramp
🇺🇦 Russian occupation authorities continue to face challenges suppressing Ukrainian resistance and finding partisan supporters despite increasingly draconian occupation measures and attempts to bribe or threaten Ukrainian civilians.
🇺🇦 One bit of calculus that Russia didn’t figure is that Ukraine is ungovernable. In the past, Russia has forced populations into submission. In occupied Kherson, guerrilla posters are going up that say things like, “We will find all the scum who have tortured our people in basements, fired rockets, or directed artillery strikes. You will never be safe on our land. Death to the occupiers.” I have seen multiple un-related examples of this, from different artists
🇺🇦 Apparently the weapon situation isn’t rosy in Ukraine, despite widespread news articles about countries donating arms. This is according to UA Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba
🇺🇦 Russian forces continued offensive operations in several locations in eastern Ukraine but did not secure any confirmed gains in ground assaults
🇺🇦 Russian forces have likely captured most of Severodonetsk, but there is no confirm anywhere on the exact control of terrain within the city.
🇺🇦 In an effort to dissuade the west from assisting Ukraine, the Russian military community is accusing Ukraine of artillery strikes near Russian soil
🇺🇦 It appears that Ukraine might be using long range equipment to attack Russian forces close to the Russian border, far behind the front line line. More information is needed, I’ll follow this thread
🇺🇦 The Kremlin’s efforts to censor information about deceased military personnel and forced mobilization is having the opposite it is intended to have, whereby it is exacerbating domestic tensions and opposition to the war in Russia.
🇺🇦 The Kremlin is using lawyers and psychologists to convince families of personnel of the sunken cruiser Moskva to refrain from disclosing information regarding the deaths of their relatives in an effort to crush rising social tensions in Russia.
🇺🇦 Russia’s new conscripts are being trained specifically to learn lessons of the war in Ukraine (For example, now Russia is training their conscripts in first aid)
🇺🇦 …However, Russia is unlikely to properly train and equip these conscripts
🇺🇦 if you wonder how it is possible that Russia has accelerated the operation in the Donbas (east Ukraine) in the past 3 days it is because Russia has put a whole new army (29th Army) at the front.
🇺🇦 Don’t get too excited, that’s the army whose general died a few days ago
📢 Countries apply to be in NATO. NATO doesn’t seek to expand. Saying NATO is encroaching on Russia is Kremlin messaging. Russia has three primary propaganda efforts directed at the West, and that’s the first.
📢 Yes, Ukraine has a nazi problem, but it’s a very small percentage of the country, and not representative of the whole. Using a small group to smear the entire group is called “guilt by association.” Russia has three primary propaganda efforts directed at the West, and that’s the second.
📢 If you ever hear anyone say “What about America…” in an effort to redirect attention away from Ukraine and onto the west, that is called “Competitive victimhood” and the associated meme is *always* created by Russian-backed media. Russia has three primary propaganda efforts directed at the West, and that’s the third.
